American Indian Mexico
Background on Pre-Conquest Mexico. (It'll give you a leg up on understanding some of "A to Z" scenarios).

Volume 2: Number 1 --- February 2000

(Five time winner of the clear cut award)

Island of California (Part 2)

California breaks off in the Eocene & develops its own unique animals

Operation Torch Delayed (part 3)
Delay the invasion of North Africa by 3 weeks and you get a very different World War II.  Part 3 takes us a little further into 1944.

Book Reviews
History books with Alternate History potential (mainly World War II this time)

Alternate History Lost Cities--North America
Edgar Rice Burroughs (creator of Tarzan) stuffed Africa & Asia full of lost cities.  I use Alternate History to do the same thing to North America.

Indian Alternate Histories From A Most of the Way to Z (part 1)

As a brainstorming exercise I try to come up with an American Indian alternate history for each letter of the alphabet.

More Stuff For POD Members Only

What you see here is a truncated on-line version of a much larger zine that I contribute to POD, the alternate history APA.  POD members get to look forward to more fun stuff.

This issue is a little late and considerably skimpier than usual. I spent most of my writing time in December and the first part of January working on an Alternate History project that may or may not ever see the light of day.  I'll talk more about that if and when I decide to complete it. Unfortunately, I also suffered from three weeks of almost total writer's block. In those three weeks I wrote as much as I normally write in one mediocre day of writing, and most of what I wrote wasn't that good. Oh well. That will give someone else a shot at the clear-cut award.

About that clear-cut award: For those of you reading this on my website, the clear-cut award is a tongue-in-cheek award given by Jim Rittenhouse, editor of Point of Divergence. Each issue, the person who contributes the longest (though definitely not the best) zine, gets the award. (Longest zine = most paper used = most trees cut down = clear-cut). I've gotten five of the little buggers so far, but this probably won't be my time for a sixth.  There will still be a few extras for POD members though.

Another alternate history scenario:

Indians Without Columbus

How to keep Europeans out of the New World for 500 years or so.

Alternate History Fiction:

West Story ( part 3 )

More pieces of the Exchange puzzle fall into place.

 The Book (part 1)

The book is full of secrets that could make "Red" Potter wealthy and powerful, or get him killed.
